The state emblem of Russia is one of
the main symbols of our country, along with the national anthem and flag. The basis of the coat of arms of the Russian Federation is a two-headed eagle, spreading wings. It was approved in 1993 by decree of President Boris Yeltsin.

The scepter and Orb in his claws of the eagle are symbols of the Supreme state power.

Russian Federation is one of the main official state symbols of the Russian Federation, along with the flag and coat of arms. Music and text were borrowed from the anthem of the Soviet Union, the tune to which was composed by Aleksandr Aleksandrov on poems by Sergei Mikhalkov and Gabriel El-Registan.
