Let’s have a quick view to some dreams of the bible,

and let’s get some insight from those dreams.
There is so much to learn from each one of them.
I will give you some ideas , then you can do your own analysis of these dreams.

Слайд 4
Purposely I have shaded parts of the scriptures with different colors

to call the attention to a particular part of the passage.
Meditate in them one by one, let God give you revelation of the prophetic signs that in these dreams are enclosed.
Look for similar passages in the Bible and compare the different parts of those dreams.

Слайд 5Abimelech restores Sarah

Слайд 6Abimelech’s dream
The first dream from God narrated in the Bible is

when he delivered a message to an unsaved man about Abraham’s wife:

Слайд 7 Genesis 20:3-5 (NKJV)
3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream by

night, and said to him, “Indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife.” 4 But Abimelech had not come near her; and he said, “Lord, will You slay a righteous nation also? 5 Did he not say to me, ‘She is my sister’? And she, even she herself said, ‘He is my brother.’ In the integrity of my heart and innocence of my hands I have done this.”

Слайд 8Parts of the Dream:
God brings revelation to Abimelech in a dream.
He

informs to Abimelech of his wrongdoing.
Abimelech check out his heart and speaks.
He presents to God the condition of his heart.
He declares himself blameless.

Слайд 9Abimelech interacts with God
Abimelech dialoged with God while having a dream.
He

explains the condition of his heart.
God listen to Abimelech and responds to him.
To this is what I call an Inter active dream.

Слайд 10 Genesis 20:6-7 (NKJV)
6 And God said to him in a dream, “Yes,

I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart. For I also withheld you from sinning against Me; therefore I did not let you touch her. 7 Now therefore, restore the man’s wife; for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you shall live. But if you do not restore her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours.”

Слайд 11Parts of the Dream:
God hears and replies to Abimelech.
God knows the

heart of Abimelech.
God helps Abimelech not to sin.
God’s orders are straightforward to Abimelech.
If He obeys, the blessing will come. Conditional prophecy.
Warning.

Слайд 12Abimelech obeys God and restores Sarah

Genesis 20:16 (NKJV)
16 Then to Sarah he

said, “Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver; indeed this vindicates you before all who are with you and before everybody.” Thus she was rebuked.

Слайд 13Abraham prays to God to heal Abimelech.
17 So Abraham prayed to God;

and God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants. Then they bore children; 18 for the Lord had closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech because of Sarah, Abraham’s wife.

Слайд 14No limits to God.
This proves that God can communicate with whom

ever He wishes to.
One does not have to be anointed,
Very close to God or even saved to have a dream or dreams from God.
If Abimelech, an unsaved man can have a real dream from God, the same can happen with you today.

Слайд 15The Four Dreams of Joseph the Carpenter.

Слайд 16Joseph the Carpenter

Scripture doesn’t tell us much about Joseph.
However we

know that:
Joseph came from the town of Bethlehem.
He was from the lineage of David.
Jewish law made Jesus legally from the line of David.
Joseph was a carpenter.
We know this because Jesus was referred to as the
carpenter’s son
He probably taught the trade to Jesus.

Слайд 17Joseph a just man
Matthew 1:19 (NKJV)
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a

just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.

Слайд 18Carpenter’s son
Matthew 13:55 (NKJV)
55 Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not

His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joseph,
Simon, and Judas?

Слайд 19Dream # 1
When the angel came to Joseph in a dream

and told him that it was OK to marry Mary, as she had not met any other man. (Matthew 1:20-21)

Слайд 21 Matthew 1:20-21 (NKJV)
20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an

angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Слайд 22Parts of the Dream # 1
Joseph concerned about these things.
A messenger

from God, appears to him in a dream.
The angel instruct Joseph of the situation.
The angel reveals something important to Joseph.
The angel delivers and order from God.
The angel complements the revelation.

Слайд 23Joseph obeys the instructions given to him in the dream.

Matthew 1:24-25

(NKJV)
24 Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, 25 and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son.  And he called His name Jesus.

Слайд 24Dream # 2
2.When God warned him to take Mary and the

child Jesus and flee to Egypt (Mt 2:13)

Слайд 26Matthew 2:13 (NKJV)
The Flight into Egypt
13 Now when they had departed, behold,

an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”

Слайд 27Parts of the Dream # 2
Wise men job fulfilled.
A n

angel of God visits Joseph for the second time.
An order is imparted.
Revelation is given.

Слайд 28Joseph obeys the instructions given to him in the dream.
Matthew 2:14-15

(NKJV) 14 When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, 15 and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”

Слайд 29Dream # 3
When an angel of the Lord came to Joseph

in a dream telling him to return to Israel, following the death of Herod.
(Mt 2:19-20)

Слайд 31Matthew 2:19-20 (NKJV)
The Home in Nazareth
19 Now when Herod was dead, behold,

an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 20 saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the young Child’s life are dead.”

Слайд 32Joseph obeys the instructions given to him in the dream.

Matthew 2:21

(NKJV)
21 Then he arose, took the young Child and His mother, and came into the land of Israel.

Слайд 33Dream # 4
When on his way back from Egypt, Joseph was

concerned about going to Israel (Now Archelaus, Herod’s son was governing), God spoke to Joseph in a dream guiding Joseph to move with the family to Galilee.
(Mt 2:22-23)

Слайд 35Matthew 2:22-2 (NKJV)
22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over

Judea instead of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And being warned by God in a dream, he turned aside into the region of Galilee. 23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, “He shall be called a Nazarene.”

Слайд 36Conclusions:
God communicates and uses ordinary people like you and me.
Joseph was

a humble man.
He was not intellectual or theologian.
Yet God used this humble man to shape the life of the Word of God made flesh.

Слайд 37Conclusions:
God honours those

who listen and obey. Looks like Joseph was indeed a man of faith. Maybe that is why he is described as a “righteous man”. Joseph was a man who listened and obeyed what God and the Angel told him to do.
No arguing with the Angel – no discussion – he simply got on with it.

Слайд 38Conclusions:
God will guide his disciples.

Joseph didn’t end up in Egypt by “chance”. He went there because of the clear leading of God. God spoke to him in a dream. He knew where he was going because he listened to what God told him to do. In doing so, he saved his life, Mary and Jesus’ lives. What can we learn from Joseph?

Слайд 39True discipleship is about :
Listening to what God has to say That

means making time to stop and listen Obeying what He tells you to do, when He says it Sometime obedience to God is the difference between life and death

Слайд 40
Why did God choose Joseph out of all the potential fathers

in Israel to mentor Jesus as he was growing up? Perhaps – because He knew Joseph to be an godly and obedient man
