The Christmas wreath is an evergreen wreath

with four candles. The first candle light on Sunday four weeks to Christmas as a symbol of light which will come to the world with a birth of the Christ. Each next Sunday light one more candle. Last Sunday before Christmas light all four candles to shine a place where there is a wreath (it there can be an altar of church or a dining table).

Now the mistletoe is one of the main symbols of Christmas though at the beginning the church forbade it to use for an ornament of dwellings, because of the pagan legends connected with this plant.

candy in the form of a cane which reminds people that the Christ is the pastor of the mankind who has given life for people. Besides, the turned sugar candy reminds letter J with which name Jesus begins. The sugar candy whiteness symbolizes immaculate conception of Maiden Maria and innocent life of the Christ, and hardness of sugar speaks about its firmness and aspiration to serve as a support and protection by that who in it trusts. Three thin red strips, on one of versions, designate the Sacred Trinity, and one wide – Uniform God. Sometimes on a sugar candy do one more strip – green which reminds believers that Jesus is charisma.
