SHOWING VERIZON IS THE DOMINANT WIRELESS CARRIER
even at
the SUPER BOWL
Слайд 2
It’s no secret Verizon is the nation’s leading wireless carrier.
Слайд 3
The company has 108 million retail subscribers -- more than any
other U.S. carrier.
Слайд 4
And it beats the competition in overall performance, according to RootMetrics.
Слайд 5Even at the Super Bowl, the carrier obliterated the competition in
overall data usage.
Слайд 7Verizon used a whopping 4.1 terabytes of data!
Слайд 8OK, so this is just the Super Bowl stats.
Слайд 9And as FierceWireless notes, carriers can report data in different ways.
Слайд 10But it still shows how much more capable Verizon’s network is
overall.
Слайд 11Verizon reported 1.9 TB of data used at the 2014 Super
Bowl, which still exceeds AT&T’s 2015 Super Bowl data usage.
Слайд 12And for carriers, more data usage can mean more revenue per
customer.
Слайд 13Verizon measures this using Average Revenue Per Account (ARPA), and as
usage goes up so does ARPA.
Слайд 14"Growth in ARPA is a function of device adoption, account growth,
and increased usage.”
-- Fran Shammo, Verizon CFO
Слайд 15In Q4 2014, Verizon’s ARPA was up 3.5% year-over-year.
Слайд 16Of course, Verizon customers’ data usage at the Super Bowl doesn’t
prove the company is the strongest carrier.
Слайд 17But it’s a solid indicator that the carrier continues to dominate
the industry.
Слайд 18Verizon already has the fastest overall network speeds and the best
performing network.
Слайд 20Verizon was a major bidder in the FCC’s recent wireless spectrum
auction.
Слайд 21Which should add to the company’s network prowess, and keep it
one step ahead of the competition.
Слайд 22At least, at next year’s Super Bowl.
