She is also inspired by new and antique dolls.  This Norwegian artist is a master of her trade.   She normally only makes about 10 dolls a year.  Goetz reproduces her dolls in vinyl.  Her mother, who is in her nineties, has even hand knit some of the clothing worn by Sissel’s dolls.  She works in Cernit with a cloth body.  She uses glass eyes and hand dyed human hair.  Her dolls are usually about 28” tall and sell for $10,000.00.
