Although delicate, alligator leather ages extremely well, taking a high polish over time, meaning such items are lifelong investment pieces.

LIZARD

Lizard has a smooth and elegant texture and is recognisable by its small scales.

It tends to be thinner and softer than many other exotics and also has the benefit of being easily dyed to achieve a uniform colour.

Lizard is mineral tanned in bath of salts and nutriments which leaves a supple, soft and uniform finish.

SELLING EXOTIC PRODUCTS
When selling an exotic product stores must advise the customer of the CITES regulations and offer to provide the relevant confirmation letter stating their purchase complies with International CITES law, ensuring customers can effortlessly travel with their Burberry products.
Although the document is not compulsory when a customer carries an exotic product as a personal item, it is recommended as the customer may be asked to declare these items at customs when travelling internationally.
Certain limitations apply in specific countries or regions, please advise the customer to check the regulations of the country they are traveling to.
The CITES Confirmation Letter will take a few minutes to complete, offer the customer refreshments while they wait or ask if they would like the letter emailed to them.

We are fully committed to ensuring the highest welfare standards throughout our supply chain, and the sourcing of exotic skins is no exception. Burberry will not knowingly source exotic skins from endangered species. In addition, we will not knowingly source exotic skins where the farming of animals is conducted inhumanely and negatively impacts on the environment of the origin country or region.
