Burdzh-el-Arab (Arab. برج العرب, literally "The Arab tower") — magnificent hotel in Dubai, the largest city of the United Arab Emirates. The building stands in the sea at distance of 270 meters from the coast on the artificial island connected to the earth by means of the bridge. Having height of 321 meter, I was the highest hotel in the world, there was no other Dubai hotel yet — Roza's Tower — 333 meters high which opened in April, 2008, some more higher hotels appeared later. As of 2015 Burdzh-el-Arab is the building of Asia, the 56th on height, and the 70th on height in the world.
Construction of hotel began in 1994, for visitors it opened on December 1, 1999. The hotel was constructed in the form of a sail of preschool educational institution, the Arab vessel. Closer to top there is a helipad, and on the other hand — restaurant of El-Muntaj (from Arab the Highest), both are supported by console beams.
The hall of hotel consists of two floors. On the first floor check in living in hotel is made, on the second floor of the hall shops and cafe, and also the corridor conducting to high-speed elevators are located. In the hall of a corridor, on a floor, there is a unique mosaic. Rise on the second floor is carried out by means of the escalators located on the right side of the hall. Near escalators in a wall aquariums are built in, and between them there is a step jet fountain with illumination.
