Leonardo was born on April 15, 1452, "at the third hour of the night in the Tuscan hill town of Vinci, in Florence.
He was an Italian Renaissance polymath: painter, sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer.

Vinci was buried in the Chapel of Saint-Hubert in Château d'Amboise, in France.

Now we can see his paintings in the Louvre, the Hermitage and the Ambrosiana Library.
